Chelsea players turn back at Drogba

Guys, the fact is that Drogba's team mates are at loggerheads with him. This followed an outburst by the Ivory Coast striker to the press claiming that Chelsea has been unsupportive.

Drogba claimed that he wasn't supported after he lost his beloved grandmother. The 30-year old said he in turn lost interest in football and considered quitting football.

Now it is heard that majority of Chelsea players want Drogba out of the team as soon as possible. Earlier, we heard several speculations linking Drogba with Intermilan (coached by Chelsea's ex-boss - Jose Mourinho). We could experience a sale of Drogba in the January transfer window.

Chelsea have been considering signing in a striker, so Drogba's exit will spark a new striker purchase.

We would definitely miss Didier Drogba if he eventually leaves, isn't it?

Fulham 2 - Chelsea 2

Oops, we let it slip again. This was an opportunity to seal it & round off the year at least with a win.
With Liverpool winning their match earlier, I thought Chelsea would also perform similarly. Chelsea conceived an early lead, no thanks to Fulham's Clint Dempsey. He scored the goal 10th minute into the game. We had several chances in front of goal but couldn't convert them all into goals.

Chelsea came into the 2nd half with more determination & it paid dividends when Frank Lampard got the equaliser (50th minute). Lampard who was later tagged the Man of the Match in this game got another in the 72nd minute. We thought we were done but for a late Fulham's equaliser. Clint Dempsey again?

One thing i do notice in Chelsea's game is that, we seem to be relaxed when leading. This obviously happened today and we paid dearly for it.

Man of the Match: Frank Lampard

Chelsea 2 - West Brom 0

Chelsea scored both goals in the 1st half, thanks to Didier Drogba & Frank Lampard. Drogba opened the goals in just 3minutes into the game with a header from a Joe Cole's cross. Didier Drogba (nicknamed "the Deadly Drog"), was paired for the first time in a starting line with Nicolas Anelka. This paid off well for Scolari. Anelka, Drogba , and Joe Cole were very versatile and often swaped positions fluently.

Frank Lampard added a goal in the 47th minute to make it 2 goals in a match Chelsea played better at home than in the previous runs.

The two wing defenders (Bosingwa & Ashley Cole) also had a great play in the game. If Chelsea maintains this form, we are definitely up for the Premier League top spot.

Man of the match: Frank Lampard.

John Mikel Obi - £80,000 a week

John Obi Mikel is about to join the high earners at Stamford Bridge. The Nigerian international was offered a new deal worth a whooping £80,000 a week. His weekly wage is expected to rise to £120,000 per week over the next five years.

The Nigerian international has found his way to the heart of Big Phil this season. Scolari has so much confidence in 21-year old. He applied Mikel as an emergency defender in the match against Everton after captain Terry received red.

He has received so many praises from football pundits especially after replacing injured Essien.

I think he deserves this shower of praises. This young man sometimes tagged "Mikelele" has lived up to expectations & really fitted into the holding midfield role.

Big Phil wants a new striker.

Phil Scolari has pleaded with Chelsea to let him spend cash in January.

Scolari twice asked club chiefs for a new striker to sign in the January transfer window.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and chief executive Peter Kenyon have both insisted not to spend this time.

Big Phil also wants a player that can dribble round defenders (we truly kind of lack this in the team)

Its most possible that Chelsea will not spend unless Alex indeed leaves in January.

I think this might affect us. Why? Because what if both strikers (Anelka & Drogba) gets injured. Remember Everton is faced with this challenge. All 3 strikers (Yakubu, Saha & Anichebe) injured. Everton was forced to use the Australian midfielder, Tim Cahill as an emergency striker.

We really need a good back-up.

Everton 0 - Chelsea 0

Chelsea failed again yesterday to make the top of the Engish premier league table. We started the match well in the opening minutes of the 1st half. But then, John Terry was sent off for a ferocious tackle on Osman (Everton)..... I still do not think that tackle was worth a red card.

Chelsea played the 2nd half well but were always cautious as three other players were shown yellow. Ballack, Lampard & Ashley Cole all recieved yellow cards though 2 of the yellow cards were questionable.

With Chelsea having a match against West Brom on Friday 26th, i hope we wouldn't repeat a poor run on this "underdog" team.

Liverpool will be playing Bolton that same day. I hope Bolton will play very well & get at least a draw againt Liverpool.

UEFA Champions League (Chelsea - Juventus)

Drogba/Adriano swap for real?

The widely reported news of a swoop between Chelsea (Drogba) & Intermilan (Andriano) is uncertain. Latest reports coming from Jose Mourinho (Former Chelsea coach) has it that there 0% chance of bringing in Drogba to Intermilan in the January transfer window.

He however said the doors are open for the Ivory Coast player if he desires to come.

"I don't want to get involved. If one day Didier has a clear situation in his life with his club - which is a club I love - and he is on his way out and I am Inter coach, Gamba Osaka coach, Red Bulls coach or whatever coach, everyone knows he's one of my men. Whatever club I am, the door is always open for him."

"But he's a Chelsea player, a very good player - and at the moment there's 0% chance of him coming to Inter in January." Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

Alex is determined to leave Chelsea

Chelsea's ace defender, Alex is determined to find his way out of Chelsea in the January transfer window. He is interested in a moving to a club where he could be a regular first-team player. The Chelsea defender claimed he had planned to go earlier in the summer but was denied of his requset. Now this is the time he must leave says the 26 year old Brazillian.

Alex's departure will be a worry for Scolari but should he go, he is likely going to make a move for Miguel (the highly-rated Valencia's defender).

Alex is expected to meet with Roman Abramovich today to discuss about this.

The Appreciation of Lasanna Diarra!

Former Chelsea defender/midfielder Lassana Diarra has suprisingly appreciated in worth. His value is now a whooping sum of £20million. His worth was £1million when he signed a contract with Chelsea in July 2005. He has increased by £19million value in 3years. Remarkable! If he were still in Chelsea they could've gained this money.

Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City are one of the several clubs interested in the signature of Lassana Diarra. Manchester United & Manchester City are both interested in him for an £18million move in January. Real Madrid has been told to pay £20million if they must get this holding midfielder.

This French player must be feeling good now. Here is a quote from him.

"The people at Portsmouth know I will not spend my life at the club. If I shine and a really big club wants me, I already know everything will go well"

Chelsea 1 - West Ham 1

At the start of the match, the Blues looked determined to take advantage of Liverpool's failure to win yesterday and head to the top. But a determined West Ham spoilt the show as they held us to a tie. This leaves Liverpool still one point ahead of Chelsea.

West Ham took the lead in the 33rd minutes but Chelsea equalised later in the 2nd half with the help of Nicolas Anelka. We had most of the possessions but could not convert our edge to goals. Chelsea continues with their home puzzle as it seems we find it tasky to beat any team at home.

This draw leaves Chelsea still on the 2nd premier league position. Though we still have a number of matches ahead but we need to improve in our home run.

Nevertheless, up Blues!
